Why Connors made the SteakMap list
Connors cooks its steaks over wood-fired grills, and that is the distinction worth caring about. Wood fire runs hotter and less evenly than gas, and it puts genuine smoke into the crust rather than just heat. It is harder to run a busy line on, which is exactly why most restaurants of this size do not.
The board
The beef is prime steaks and chops, with the ribeyes and filet mignons doing most of the work. The kitchen leans on classic finishes rather than novelty — Oscar style with crab and béarnaise, or a rich demi-glace.
Seafood is a real second half of the menu and is U.S.D.C. inspected, which is the voluntary Department of Commerce seafood inspection program — a step above the baseline, and something a restaurant only mentions if it is actually paying for it.
Where it is
Connors is at 10076 Gulf Center Drive in Fort Myers, in the Gulf Coast Town Center area near the interstate — a convenient, high-traffic location rather than a waterfront one.
It keeps unusually long hours for a steakhouse: open from 11am daily, to 10pm Sunday through Thursday and 11pm Friday and Saturday. A steak room serving lunch every day of the week is genuinely useful in a market this seasonal.
Prices
Connors does not publish a machine-readable priced menu, so SteakMap has no verified cuts, weights or prices to quote. Aging is not published, and we make no claim about it.
